Duroptix OE-6650 Phenylsiloxane-based Silicone Resin for LED Encapsulation with Durometer Shore D 52 and 7.3 MPa Adhesion Strength

Duroptix OE-6650 is a two-part (Mix Ratio 1:3), phenylsiloxane-based optical resin. It features low viscosity, high optical clarity, a Durometer Shore D of 52, and an unprimed adhesion-die shear strength (Al) of 7.3 MPa. Its refractive index is 1.54, with 100% transparency at 450 nm wavelength.

Duroptix OE-6650 resin is designed to meet the challenging needs of the LED market, including high adhesion, high purity, moisture resistance, thermal stability, and optical transmittance. This silicone material can absorb stresses caused by thermal cycling inside the package, protecting the chip and the bonding wires. With excellent stability at reflow temperatures, it is a natural fit for lead-free processing and LED applications.

The special properties of this product lie in its exceptional purity and reliability. The impurity levels are remarkably low: Na+ at 0.1 ppm, K+ at 0.2 ppm, and Cl- at 0.5 ppm, which is crucial for protecting sensitive LED chips. It cures in 60 minutes at 150°C and has a shelf life of 12 months at 25°C, ensuring stable production processes and long-term storage capability.

Duroptix OE-6650 is primarily used for sealing and protecting LEDs and fabricating discrete lenses. It is suitable for encapsulating high-brightness LEDs (e.g., automotive lighting, display backlighting) and scenarios requiring high-precision optical components. Its excellent optical properties and thermal resistance enable stable performance even in harsh environments.
